Tokonomix Gateway — Agent Onboarding Guides

How to wire a coding agent (Claude Code, Cursor, raw HTTP) to the Tokonomix gateway and the tokonomix-council-mcp consensus server.

What you get

One API key, one base URL, two layers:

Gateway (https://tokonomix.ai/api/v1) — OpenAI-compatible passthrough to 130+ models. Chat, embeddings, image generation, audio transcription — all from one endpoint.
Consensus layer — same endpoint with "mode": "consensus" in the body, or via the tokonomix-council-mcp MCP server (npx tokonomix-mcp). Several models answer in parallel; an independent judge synthesises and flags where they disagree.

One key for everything. Your tok_live_... key reaches chat, images, embeddings, and audio. No separate keys per modality.
Model slugs change. Always fetch /api/v1/models to discover available slugs; do not hardcode them in prompts or config files.
Consensus is not a truth oracle. It reduces single-model errors and surfaces disagreements — it does not guarantee correctness. Ground high-stakes facts independently.
EU routing available. Pass "hosting_region": "eu" to pin a consensus council to EU-hosted models only. Required for personal-data prompts.
